FAQ
How do I…?
- …register my child for UUCV Religious Education?
- …reserve a room in the UUCV Meeting House?
- …become a member of UUCV?
- …contribute financially to UUCV’s work in the world?
Where do I park?
When our small parking lot is full our neighbors at The Boiling Springs Middle School and the Friendly Food Mart Gas Station have generously offered us the use of their lot. Additional overflow parking is available at the Gerald Putt Gallery and down the street at the Boiling Springs Tavern.
What do I do at my first visit?
Visitors are always welcome at UUCV. A sign is posted outside the main entry. There is a Welcome Table, staffed by the Membership Committee, where you can get a name tag (if you want one!), sign up to receive our newsletter and emails (again – if you so choose) and ask questions. Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 am and is a good way to begin to get to know our congregation, our minister and other staff, and to learn something about Unitarian Universalism. If you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service there will be time to meet a Membership Committee representative who can show you the ropes – particularly helpful if you bring children.
Are you handicapped accessible?
The main door is handicapped accessible. We have a wheelchair available for visitors as well as an elevator for access to the lower (classroom/dining room) level. In addition, UUCV’s sound system offers individual hearing devices for hearing impaired visitors and large-print “Orders of Service” for those with vision impairment. Our sanctuary is air-conditioned and our entire facility is smoke-free and nut-free.
How do I contact someone with additional questions?
You can call our Church Administrator, Pam Martin anytime at [email protected] or call 717/249-8944 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. She will be able to answer your questions or direct you to another staff member that can best help you.
