UUCV Small Group Ministry Program

Our UUCV Small Group Ministry provides a safe space for personal and spiritual growth, fellowship, and enhanced relationships. Meeting once a month in members’ homes and at the church, our small groups are let by trained facilitators who encourage deep listening and the sharing of beliefs and feelings about chosen topics.  We believe that thinking, feeling and speaking about our experiences are essential elements for spiritual growth.

Membership:

Our small groups are open to members and friends of UUCV. If you are not currently a member of our small group ministry program and are interested in more information about the program or would like to join a group, please contact Dot Everhart [email protected] or Reverend Meg at [email protected]

Current Small Group Roster: 

Daytimers’ Group: We meet the third Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm at UUCV.  Cheryl Parsons is the facilitator

The Kumquat Group: We meet the 3rd Sunday of the month at 1:30 PM in members’ homes at Joan Bechtel’s home.  Joan and Char Klein are co-chairs.

Lunch Lovers: We are currently a women’s group that officially meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM in members’ homes in the Carlisle area.  We consciously practice deep listening.   Dot Everhart is the facilitator.

Men’s Group: We meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7 to 8:30 PM in members’ homes in the Carlisle area. Members take turns developing session themes.  Jon Tarrant is the facilitator.

Namely Women’s Group: We meet the 3rd Friday of the month from 4:30 to 6 PM in members’ homes in the Carlisle area. Wendy Gebb is the facilitator.

UUCV Music Small Group:  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:45 to 8 PM at Mary Reichart and Matt Burr’s home.  Mary and Matt are the co-facilitators.

The Divers:  We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 2:00 PM in the Yuuth Room at UUCV.  Gail Black and Michael Weidner are co-facilitators.

Word Weavers: We meet the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at Susan Vernons home.  Susan is the facilitator.
