Do you “geek out” over recording technology? Have you ever found yourself debating the relative merits of MP3 vs. OGG for downloadable audio? Do you enjoy pretending you’re at the helm of the starship Enterprise? Or are you just committed to making sure that everyone who attends an event at UUCV is able to hear and understand the words that are spoken and sung from start to finish, and that those who aren’t able to attend are able to stream recordings over the internet from wherever they are?
With thanks to those who responded to our initial call for schedule preferences, we’ve scheduled our next training session for folks interested in operating the sound board. This session will cover the basics, including some changes since our last training session, so students of all levels of experience are welcome! (Attendance at this session is mandatory for new sound board operators, and strongly recommended for experienced board operators who wish to continue to serve in that capacity.)
The training will be held immediately following the Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, November 13, and shouldn’t last longer than an hour. Click here to view the event on our online calendar, add to your Google Calendar or iCal, etc.
As always, questions or concerns about the sound system and the music program can be left in the “Hear, Hear!” box in the Sanctuary, or emailed to [email protected].
