Dear UU Friends of York and Gettysburg,

I’m writing to invite you to a film screening of Groundswell Rising, an important documentary on fracking in Pennsylvania. Fellow UU, Mark Lichty, Pocono congregation and the new co-chair of the UUPLAN Environmental Justice Team is the executive producer.

The film will be shown at the UU Church of the Cumberland Valley on Sunday, March 20th beginning at 6:30 pm. It is a 70 min. film and afterward, the director, Renard Cohen, will be available for discussion and a talk-back.

Then, on Monday, March 21, UUPLAN will join with a multi-faith community for a MORALtorium Rally and Lobby Day to stop fracking new wells in Pennsylvania and move toward renewable energy. We invite you to join us for this important action. It is a day-long event – but you are welcome to stay for as much or little of the day as possible.
