Religious Education
It is the mission of the UUCV Lifespan Education program that everyone: Knows that they are held in unconditional love; Knows that they are powerful and have the ability to make changes in the world; Experiences this empowerment as a source of hope and courage; Recognizes that because they are held in love and are powerful, they have an inherent responsibility to use their power to bring more love into the world.
This year, UUCV is engaging with a new curricular series called Woven Faith, developed by the UUA and consultant religious educators. Woven Faith provides a monthly theme-based ministry format, with a wide array of ways we can engage around the theme, including worship, classroom lessons for children,Covenant Groups (or small groups as we are used to hearing them called), and a deep ministry for youth through older adults, all-ages fellowship activities, as well as activities for boards and committees of UUCV, inclusion and belonging, and justice ministries. Woven Faith truly is a shared ministry model in that it brings us together to learn, engage, and support one another in our spiritual journey. UUCV Staff, Lay-Leaders, Volunteers, and everyday congregants become woven into the shared tapestry of life, faith, community, and love when we choose to engage.
Children & Youth

Children and youth are a vital part of our community, with regular programs, all-ages worship, and opportunities to learn, grow, and lead.
Adult RE

We offer ongoing opportunities for adults to deepen their spiritual lives, explore Unitarian Universalist values, and connect with others on a shared journey.
Covenant Groups

Covenant Groups will meet monthly from September to June, normally in the second week of the month. Sessions are 60-90 minutes long, with discussion each month on a different aspect of Woven Faith. Enrollment is capped at 10 people per group; please consider this a year-long commitment.
Registration is now open for this year’s adult Covenant Groups!
