At UUCV, we believe that building a strong spiritual community goes hand-in-hand with sharing joy, laughter, and meaningful friendships. While we are passionate about justice and learning, we are equally dedicated to simply having fun together! Whether you are looking to meet new people, share a hobby, or find a community of folks who share your interests, our social groups and events offer a warm, low-pressure space to connect, unwind, and belong.

Covenant Groups

Covenant Groups will meet monthly from September to June, normally in the second week of the month. Sessions are 60-90 minutes long, with discussion each month on a different aspect of Woven Faith. Enrollment is capped at 10 people per group; please consider this a year-long commitment.

Registration is now open for this year’s adult Covenant Groups!

FIRST FRIDAY COMMUNITY NIGHT

Join us every First Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM for food, fun, and community building, featuring crafting and potluck goodies in the Social Hall, classic board games in the Dining Room, Dungeons & Dragons in the Board Room, and a cozy reading space in the YUUth Room.

Pagan Circles

Our Pagan Circle Group gathers eight times each year to witness the Turning of the Wheel.  This circle is open to all and is family-friendly.

Meditation and Mindfulness Group

The UUCV Meditation and Mindfulness Group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary and online via Zoom. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or entirely new to meditation, this group provides a welcoming space to slow down and practice being present through guided meditation, silent practice, mindful breathing, readings, reflection, and conversation.

Common Threads and Arts and Crafts Circle

Common Threads meets each Month on the last Saturday, from 10:30-3:00 pm, in the Social Hall. Common Threads is where the community gathers to knit, crochet, and quilt for the Homeless Memorial Blanket Project, supporting those in need beyond our walls. All are welcome. Email Rev. Chris Kapp, UUCV Community Minister, at CommunityMinister@uucv.org for more information.

Neurodivergent Circle

The first gathering of our Neurodivergent Circle affinity group is on September 28th @ 6:30 pm in the Social Hall and Online. The Neurodivergent Circle is an affinity group for neurodivergent humans at UUCV and in our wider community—including autistic people, people with ADHD, dyslexia, learning differences, and others who identify with the broad and diverse experience of neurodivergence. This is not a therapy group. It is a circle of belonging, connection, and community. Please reach out to Rev. Phoenix Bell-Shelton at minister@uucv.org for more information.

We are also still gathering information on what types of groups you, the members and friends of UUCV, are interested in. If you have not done so already, please fill out a Spiritual and Communal Connection Card so that we can offer these times of connection in the near future. If you have any questions or would like to chat about ideas, please reach out to Rev. Phoenix Bell-Shelton at minister@uucv.org.
