Children & Youth
Children & Youth Religious Education
The Woven Faith curriculum offers a full range of faith development lesson plans for our children and youth, and we will participate in piloting this program with our RE classes through careful review, preparation, and implementation of the lessons, and by providing feedback to the UUA.
This year, we will be offering two separate RE class groups which will meet during our Sunday Morning worship service. Our younger group – the Sparks – will include children in Grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade, and our older group – the Flames – will include youth in Grades 8-12.
Our 6th and 7th Graders will be our Embers this year, as they learn about our faith and our congregation through hands-on assisting activities during service. They will have the opportunity to help in worship, child care, hospitality and as RE classroom assistants. Throughout the year, our Director of Lifespan Faith Development will be using the Woven Faith curriculum and resources in planning a year of inspirational educational experiences for our young people to learn and grow as individuals, as peers to one another, and as important members of this Beloved Community.
