Are you looking for a safe place because of your race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender, class, disability, beliefs, or other identities? As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm your inherent worth and dignity.
UUCV’s Capital Campaign is off to an excellent start! As of November 1, 2018, our pledge drive has reached an amazing total of $564,241!
Thanks to all of you who, through your pledges to this campaign, made this total possible. If you have not yet pledged, not to worry! The Capital Campaign will continue to welcome pledges for the next several years.
Through your generosity, we can now enter the second phase of the campaign to:
– address our church’s building and grounds needs
– make our facility an open and welcoming place for all
– grow the reach of our mission to “transform lives and care for the world”.
Through the winter and spring, most of our work will be behind-the-scenes. Once our architect has completed the necessary drawings, bids will be solicited. When we have received the bids, the Steering Committee will assess the affordability of the work, aligning it with our congregationally-chosen priorities. Once we have a clear plan in place, and have received an affirmation vote from the congregation, our goal is to start construction before the summer of 2019.
