Heather Woodward

Heather is a life-long UU and joined UUCV in 2001.  She is from Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania and moved to Carlisle after attending Shippensburg University.  She lives in Carlisle with her husband and two sons.

Heather has volunteered in a number of capacities at UUCV.  She was chair of the religious education committee and taught for many years, many ages – but really seems to connect with the middle school age group best.  Along with the former minister, she helped develop a coming of age class that worked on service projects, learned with mentors, visited other denominations and explored their own religious development for two years before entering our YUUth group. She also worked on a project bringing all the middle school classes from the Joseph Priestly district together, quarterly.

She is currently one of three middle school teachers and enjoys working with the Religious Education and Safe Congregations Committees.

Heather is currently employed in the marketing department at Rite Aid.  She was a very active volunteer when her sons attended Hamilton Elementary School.  She still volunteers for the boy’s middle school but makes sure to now stay behind the scenes (per her sons’ request).  She loves attending her boys many sporting events and having adventures with them and her husband.
