Many in our culture believe that our past and present circumstances determine our level of happiness and joy. We spend endless hours revisiting past/present events only to feel trapped within their grip. Yet there have been people who have faced the most dire of events that life can throw at one and come out unscathed or even enriched. This is not because these people are fundamentally different but because they have processed life differently than others. The key is surprisingly simple (not necessarily easy though).
